Restoration Project

• As reported in 2022, the Chautauqua Region Vintage Book, Paper and Collectibles Show and Sale now benefits the trolley restoration project. The 2023 and the 2024 shows are over now and resulted in a total of around $7,500 going into the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation Trolley Fund. $1K of that came from a 2024 attendee who sat down and wrote out a check for $1000 to the project! THANK YOU! The Chautauqua Suites, Mayville New York venue is already reserved for the upcoming Saturday August 2, 2025 Show. • Scott Symans and I have been discussing options for altering the trolley trucks in a way that may also double as a trailer. I am hoping that our current trailer will be adjustable for use with the trucks so we can keep costs down

• This along with reasoning through the display building procedure have us a bit stalled on moving forward. The expense of hiring an architect is one that I am hoping to keep down. You would think that building plans would be fairly standard by now and not require too much in the way of design effort. Hope to get moving on this soon.
