Goals

INTRODUCTION
  • Back in 1996, the original Jamestown Street Railway Trolley Car #93 was pulled from the woods of Dewittville, NY

  • An edowment fund was set up with the CHAUTAUQUA REGION COMMUNITY FOUNDATION for restoring and
    preserving Trolley Car #93.

  • For many years we have promoted the project and built the fund up to ~ $ 18K.

  • Lee Harkness, General Manager with the Gateway Train Station, invited us to bring #93 to the station and
work to actually start the restoration.

  • December 2013 #93 was moved to the station.

  • National Train Day 2014 first time #93 was available for view by the general public. Jim Mitchener of Falconer, NY
(now our restoration lead) makes first contact about working on the restoration.

  • June 2014, restoration starts.
