PROJECT GOALS
The ultimate goals of this restoration project would be to:
1. Restore Jamestown Street Railway Trolley Car #93 to its original operating condition and maintain it that way.
2. Build or provide a permanent home for it.
3. Develop a functional purpose for it within the community which would involve the actual operation of the car.
4. Create a sound financial base through which the trolley car can be perpetuated. This will be achieved through donations to the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation Trolley Fund.
Points to Ponder:
1. The planned City Riverwalk Project could somehow incorporate the trolley car use.
2. Some of the origninal JW&NW trolley car tracks are still in place on the east side of the Chadakoin River.
3. There is a building that could house the project near the tracks and the river, but it will need improvements.
4. There may be a place for it in the Erie Train Depot if current funding plans work out.
